Breaking the Silence in the Salon: GBV, Mental Health and Hygiene Awareness for Women

A Belosy Africa volunteer sensitises women in a local salon on Gender-Based Violence (GBV), mental health and personal hygiene.

Salons are where women gather, talk and take time for themselves. That makes them the perfect place for an honest conversation. In a relaxed setting, our volunteer walked through the signs of abuse, the ways violence affects mental health, and simple personal hygiene practices that protect a woman’s wellbeing.

  • A Belosy Africa volunteer speaking with a woman at her doorstep
  • A volunteer sharing information on GBV and mental health with women in a salon

We believe every woman deserves to know her rights, recognise violence, seek help and protect her well-being.

Together, we can break the silence and build safer communities. 💜
